The easiest way to create a new Job is by use of the "Job wizard", a tool that indicates the fields that need to be filled for creation of a new Job.
Where can this component be used?
This component can be used when you click "New" on the following locations.
- Jobs tab
- Account record detail page
- Contact record detail page
How to configure this component
The layout of the "Job wizard" can be adjusted to the preferences of the organisation. Adjustment of the fields in this wizard can be done in the application settings.
Go to Connexys Setup, under the section "Basic setup" click on "Application settings".
After opening the application settings, choose to show "All settings". Click on "Job wizard" under the "Settings" section.
Here, you can add the fieldsets you want to show in the Job Wizard.
- Enforce Account Lookup
This is a Classic setting and has no effect in Lightning.
- Job wizard: page layout
This setting allows you to design the layout of the job wizard according to your personal wishes. Every line in this setting will provide text or a block of fields in the wizard. An example is:
- Job Wizard: contact info
This setting can be used to provide a default text that will be given in the contact information field for every new job that is created. If the contact information is (almost) the same for every job that is created, this setting can save the time of having to type this text for every job.
Example text: For questions please contact recruitment via email@example.com.
- Select department/customer
If this option is selected, the job wizard provides an opportunity to select the department or customer the job belongs to. Once a department or customer is selected, the "company description" field will automatically be filled in line with the description of the chosen department or customer (if this field is filled in the account file of this department or customer).
- Company information text hierarchically
When this option is selected, the default text in the field "Company information" is not only based on the selected department/customer, but also on the parents of the selected department/customer.
- Job template required
Check if selecting a job template is required in the first step of the Job wizard.
- Job wizard setup in Lightning for Gmail
This setting allows you to design the layout of the job wizard according to your personal wishes in the Lightning for Gmail component. Every line in this setting will provide text or a block of fields in the wizard. An example is:
- Select Job template
When checked, you will be able to select the Job profile in the first step of the Job wizard.
- Use Lightning for Criteria
Instead of the classic hard criteria selection in the Job wizard, the Lightning component is embedded.
