The Salesforce for iOS mobile app will require iOS 11.2 and higher in version 18.0, which is planned to be released alongside Spring ‘19*. Since your organization currently uses Salesforce for iOS, we wanted to notify you of this impact and inform you of your options.
We are ending support for prior iOS versions due to recent security issues (Codenamed “Meltdown” and “Spectre”), as trust is our #1 priority at Salesforce. Apple has released fixes for the abovementioned security issues in iOS 11.2 and higher. We highly encourage all Salesforce for iOS mobile app users to upgrade to the latest version of iOS.
*Currently targeted for February 2019; date subject to change
The Salesforce for iOS mobile app will require iOS 11.2 and higher in version 18.0. Users on prior versions of iOS will be able to continue using the current version of the mobile app, but will not be able to upgrade to version 18.0 (Spring ‘19 release).
Please inform your users to upgrade their devices to the most current version of iOS (iOS 11.2 and higher).
