Topics widget on Step page
In order to view the topics of a candidate on the Step page, you must add the field 'Topics' to the field set that is used to display the information about the candidate(s). By default, this will be the 'Fields in the Step selection table' field set. The Topics field will be listed in the fields that are available in the field set and needs to be dragged to the right in the list of displayed fields in the field set.
You will now be able to see the topics of a candidate on the screen and can also add and remove the topics of a candidate should you wish to do so. You can do this by clicking on the displayed link in the Topics field.
You will now see a modal with the Salesforce Topics widget.
Topics widget on Talentpool page
In order to view the topics of a candidate on the Talentpool page, you must add the field 'Topics' to the field set that is used to display the information about the candidates. This field set can be found on the Person in Talentpool object and is called 'Talentpool page'. The Topics field will be listed in the fields that are available in the field set and needs to be dragged to the right in the list of displayed fields in the field set.
The Talentpool page will now look like this.
Just like the Step page, clicking on the link in the Topics column will allow you to add and remove Topics from that Candidate in a modal.
Topics widget on Compare Job Applications page
The list of Topics that belong to a Candidate can also be viewed on the Compare Job Applications page. To do this, the 'Topics' field must be a displayed field in the 'Compare fieldset' that can be found on the Job Application object.
In order to see this field on the Compare Job Application page, at least one Candidate needs to have a Topic.
Searching based on Topic
Since Topics has now been enabled, you will be able to search for Candidates based on their topics both in the Textkernel Candidate Search as well as in the Connexys Candidate Search.
Chatter feed on Talentpool page
NOTE: you do not need to setup Topics in order to display the Chatter feed on the Talentpool page. The chatter feed is also for the Talentpool.
Should you wish, you can also display the Chatter feed on the Talentpool page. To do this, Chatter must be enabled within Salesforce and the application setting 'Enable Chatter' must also be on.
This application setting can be found by going to: Connexys Resource Manager Setup -> Application settings -> Basic settings -> General
What also needs to be done is that Feed Tracking is turned on for Talentpools. To do this:
- Within the Salesforce Setup screen, go to Customize -> Chatter -> Feed Tracking
- Select Talentpool and then check on the Enable Feed Tracking checkbox
- You can also select text fields that can be used for topic suggestions (optional, not mandatory)
You will now have the Chatter feed on the Talentpool page
