COMING SOON: Version 10.0 of Salesforce1 for iOS


As an admin of a Salesforce org with active mobile users, we are notifying you of a planned upgrade to the Salesforce1 downloadable app for iOS.

The Salesforce Technology Team has completed work on the latest upgrade to Version 10.0 of Salesforce1 for iOS, and we plan to release the new app following the completion of proper approvals. We expect the upgrade to be available for download from the App Store in mid June*.

* Date subject to change

NOTE: Version 10.0 of Salesforce1 for iOS will require a minimum iOS version of 9.2. iOS device users not running iOS 9.2 or later will be unable to upgrade to Version 10.0 of Salesforce1 for iOS.

What are the new features and enhancements?
Highlights of this release include:

Offline Edit (Beta): Create, edit, and delete records while offline**
View more types of enhanced Lightning Charts**
Change the owner on records
Select record types for Events
See more future Events
Upload images to Notes
Access Knowledge articles from the navigation menu
Send outgoing emails with the new SalesforceIQ Inbox app instead of the native email app
Get enhanced security with Mobile Device Management (MDM), including certificate-based authentication and automatic custom host provisioning
New labels identify icons in the action bar
New color palette that’s consistent with Lightning Experience, plus other updated styling

What action do I need to take?
As Version 10.0 of Salesforce1 for iOS requires iOS 9.2 or later, we encourage you to notify your users ahead of the release to ensure they are prepared. For help upgrading iOS, see the Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch page on the Apple Support site.
