Several customers have reported that suppliers cannot propose candidates in the supplier portal. This is due to a change in the coming Salesforce release (Winter '24). Some customers might have missed this in the original release notes. In this article, we provide some extra context.
What happens?
With the Salesforce Winter'24 release earlier this year for sandboxes and later this month for production environments, permissions for objects are more strictly controlled. In the case of the supplier portal, when making use of the default profile, it is important to add permissions to read the job template (cxsrec__cxsFunction__c) and function group (cxsrec__cxsFunctionGroup__c) objects. Without these additions, suppliers with the default profile can run into issues when submitting candidates through the portal.
Who is impacted?
Every customer who uses the supplier portal with supplier accounts should check to see if their users have the correct permissions.
Action required
We advise all our clients to check their supplier user's permissions following these steps:
- Go to the supplier user's profile by going to Salesforce setup > Profiles > Connexys Supplier Community User (This can be a different profile for your organization)
- Click on the object settings
- Search for Job templates and Function groups
- Make sure that for both objects at least the "Read" permission is enabled
