Product & Service Notification

Since your Salesforce org has used the Salesforce Files Sync feature within the last 30 days, we want to let you know that the feature will be retired with the Spring ‘18 release*.

*Currently targeted for February 2018; date subject to change

At that time, you’ll no longer be able to use the feature, and Salesforce will not provide any support for it. Any files previously uploaded via Files Sync, however, will continue to be available to you within the org.
Why are we retiring this feature?
We’ve decided to focus our ongoing development efforts on cloud-based solutions that will provide you with improved performance and support.
What do you recommend?
We know this retirement may cause some disruption for your users, but we do have the Files Connect capability as a recommended alternative.

With Files Connect, you can integrate data from external sources into your Salesforce org. To set up this capability, please follow the detailed step-by-step instructions, which you can find here.
How can I get more information?
For additional questions, open a case with Support via the Help & Training portal.

See here for an overview of our philosophy on retiring functionality.
