Select 'New' to create a job

The Job Wizard appears, which helps you creating a job in several steps. The first step is to select a record type. Optionally, select the corresponding organisation (department or customer) and/or Type when available or needed. A Type is connected to an Application form, and thereby the corresponding page layout, workflow and e-mail templates.

First step: selecting a record type

Click 'Next' and then select the desired job template. Job templates prevent the recruiter from having to manually enter the job requirements, job profile, contact details, etc. For every related job, the application provides the opportunity to create templates. The job template can automatically fill the following fields:

  • Job Details
  • Job Description
  • Job Requirements
  • Hard Criteria

Click 'Next' to go to the next page.

Job Requirements

Make use of Job Requirements to reduce the number of applications that need to be reviewed. Job requirements can be shown on the application form as a single-select yes/no question. It is used to determine whether a candidate meets a specific requirement. There are two types of job requirements:

  • Score based: Provides a positive or negative score based on the answers the applicant gives on job requirement questions. Determine the importance of a question in relation to the job and enter that value (on a scale of 1 to 99) in the field 'Weight'. When more than one question is used, the sum of the scores will be provided as an overall score that can be used as an advice to reject or proceed the process with the Candidate. The higher the score, the better the compatibility with the Job profile.
  • Knock-out checkbox: Questions that are configured as a knock-out, are used in case a Candidate needs to meet the requirement in order to proceed in the recruitment process. If the Candidate scores negative on that question, the scores on the other question are no longer taken into account, since the overall score will then be negative in every case. This implies that a negative score on this kind of question will automatically result in a so-called "knock-out" for the Candidate.

Make sure that the checkbox ''Show job requirements'' is checked on the applicable application form in the Connexys Setup.

Hard Criteria

Hard Criteria can be used for Textkernel Search and Connexys Search to match the existing database of Candidates with the new Job in order to find a suitable Candidate for that position. So, it doesn't work with knock-out or scores like Job Requirements.
It also can be used for Job alerts, where registered persons can receive an email with Jobs that match their interests. Hard criteria are key terms like Career level or Language skills, based on which Jobs and Candidates can be matched. From release 9 it is possible to choose and search for the level of skills. More information about Hard Criteria can be found here.
