Out of scope of the Connexys application

A) Sales Cloud objects

  • Leads
  • Opportunities
  • Campaigns
  • Orders
  • Quotes
  • Contracts
  • Pricebooks
  • All other objects not accessible with a Salesforce platform licence

In case (all or a number of) users of customer do want to use Sales Cloud objects, customer must purchase Sales Cloud licences for these users at Salesforce.

B) Appexchange apps

  • Appexchange apps are out of scope of the Connexys application.
Appexchange apps that run without their own embedded licence are out of scope of the Connexys Embedded licentie. This means that the free apps, that make use of their own custom object/components) are not allowed to run on the customers org if this org only contains Connexys licences.

In case a customer wishes to run these Appexchange apps a so called "Salesforce platform" licence must be bought for every user that makes use of this app. In most cases the lightest version of this licence is adequate (Force.com enterprise app).

C) Additional custom objects

  • Custom objects not created by Connexys

In case a customer wants to extend the application and add extra custom objects, then all users that will make use of this code need to have a separate Salesforce Platform licence. The use of self made custom objects is therefore not within the scope of the "Embedded Platform licence" that Connexys offers to its customers.

D) Custom code

  • Additional classes not created by Connexys
  • Additional triggers not created by Connexys
In case a customer wants to extend the application programatically, then all users that will make use of this code need to have a separate Salesforce Platform licence. The use of self made components is therefore not within the scope of the "Embedded Platform licence" that Connexys offers to its customers.

Development must be seen as code that can only be created on sandbox environments and must be brought to the production environment using change sets. A trigger is a good example.

In case a customer wishes to create extensions or develop on the platform so called "Salesforce platform" licences must be bought. In most cases the lightest version of this licence is adequate (Force.com enterprise app).
